Map of the Qin Dynasty
During the Qin dynasty there were many geographic landmarks that were inside of and surrounded the new civilzation some of these land forms included the Gobi desert, the Yellow River and the Yellow Sea. Many of the people of the civilization lived in China proper and this is where many of the chinese people today live. In China they used the landforms that surrounded them to there advantage because they built the Great Wall so it would not be passable on either side because of the landforms on either side. On one side of the Great wall there was a large lake and on the other side was mountainous terrain.
